The mechanical heart of the Rolex Daytona is a high-precision caliber 4130 with automatic winding and a 72-hour power reserve. The movement is certified by the Official Swiss Institute of Timekeeping (COSC) and is able to measure time to an accuracy of 1/8 second. The caliber is equipped with a special Parachrom helix to protect it against temperature fluctuations and vibrations.
